Behind the Heartbeat: Managing the Baby Doppler Brand

It was the summer of 2018 when I stepped into the world of Baby Doppler — a brand known for turning anticipation into connection by helping expecting parents hear their baby’s heartbeat from the comfort of home. I joined as a Brand Manager on a contract basis, from August 2018 to January 2019, but within those few months, I found myself fully immersed in the warmth of the maternity community, the rhythm of digital innovation, and the heartbeat of a brand that truly mattered.

Bringing Baby Doppler to Life on Social Media

Social media became my storytelling canvas. Every post wasn’t just a product placement — it was a moment in someone’s journey to motherhood. I created campaigns around user-generated content featuring real moms using the Doppler, like gentle videos of moms capturing their baby’s heartbeat for the very first time. These heartfelt posts sparked conversations, encouraged shares, and built trust.

To keep the community engaged, I ran contests, sales-driven campaigns, and collaborated on content that highlighted real stories. Each caption was carefully crafted to reassure, educate, and inspire — creating a digital environment where mothers felt seen, heard, and celebrated.

Partnering with Influencers & Growing the Tribe

One of my favorite projects was the influencer giveaway series. I collaborated with mommy bloggers across Instagram — relatable voices that expecting moms already trusted. Through authentic content and curated giveaways, we increased visibility for Baby Doppler while offering moms something valuable: connection, community, and a chance to win products that supported their pregnancy journey.

Collaborations That Complemented Motherhood

Strategic partnerships were another heartbeat of my work. I brought together Baby Doppler with three complementary brands — Maeband (maternity support bands), Sophie the Giraffe (iconic teething toy), and NeniKanopi (stroller covers). We showcased two Baby Doppler products alongside these brands in collaborative shoots and posts, creating bundled value that appealed to modern expecting moms.

These collaborations were more than promotions; they were thoughtful ecosystems of essential items that mirrored real maternity needs and lifestyles.

Shaping Digital Content & the Baby Doppler App

During my contract, I contributed to the content development for the Baby Doppler app — collaborating on voice, tone, and user-journey content build-out — while the team continued towards full rollout of the product

Simultaneously, I coordinated with an external blogger to create pregnancy and parenting articles. Once finalized, I optimized these articles for SEO and uploaded them to Baby Doppler’s website. Each article wasn’t just added content — it was part of a larger strategy to position Baby Doppler as a trusted source in prenatal wellness.

E-Commerce & Product Management

On the backend, I managed product listings and updates through Magento CMS. From refining product descriptions to optimizing imagery and pricing strategies, I ensured the Baby Doppler online store reflected both accuracy and appeal.

I also coordinated with suppliers for Baby Doppler’s subsidiary products — including prenatal supplements, MamaDerma Stretch Mark Prevention Oil, Stretch Mark Repair Cream, scar sprays, and oximeters. Negotiating prices, managing timelines, and aligning these products with the brand’s identity were all essential parts of expanding the Baby Doppler offering into a holistic prenatal care collection.

A Short Contract, A Lasting Impact

Though my contract at Baby Doppler was for half a year, it was rich with purpose. I didn’t just manage a brand — I helped nurture an online community of expecting parents, strengthened partnerships, and contributed to a business that brought comfort and reassurance to thousands of homes.

Every post, partnership, and product update revolved around the same heartbeat: helping families connect with their little one, even before birth.
